I have been a part of the team here at Buderim Florist since late 2004. After finishing high school in 2202 I studied Certificate two in Floristy" at South Bank Tafe in Brisbane. I love floristy because it allows me to be creative. I could not imagine working behind a desk all day, I love how floristry in so hands on. Flowers bring so much joy to people and it's great to be a part of that.
In 2007 I entered the Interflora inaugural "Rising Star" Competition which I won, then in 2008 I entered the Interflora "Florist of the Future" competition in which we had to construct three arrangements. I obtained second place in two of the categories, it was challenging and a good learning experience.

I have enjoyed being part of the Buderim Florist team for the past 14 years. I orginally studied at Grovely Tafe in Brisbane to obtain my certificate in commerical floristry. Over this time I have entered several competitions including Interflora Junior Florist of Queensland which I won. I enjoy working with flowers and have no problem doing floral demonstrations for large groups which I have done on numerous occasions. My passion is being creative and working with georgeous flowers and foliages. I am married and have two beautiful children.

Most of my working life has been behind a desk as a Book-keeper/Office Manager, but looking for something creative I completed my Certificate 111 in Floristry at Grovely Tafe in Brisbane.  In May 2002 together with my husband we purchased the Buderim Florist just 10 days prior to Mother's Day (what an initiation). Today I look after all the book work side of the business and also help to create beautiful floral arrangements and bouquets for our customers. From the very first day I took over the shop the goal was to provide only the very best in fresh flowers and based on the many testimonals we receive on a regular basis we have achieved that goal.



 


John Daley - CEO PR/IT/Admin
Started my work life as a retail manager and soon realised I needed to be outdoors more so I took up a challenge as a commercial traveller for a floor coverings wholesaler covering a territory in NSW from Port Stephens (Newcastle) way down south to the Victorian NSW border (Orbost) after several years I was still looking for something else which I found when I joined the Army and worked my way to the Rank of Sergeant where I spent most of my military career (15 years of it ) posted to various training and deployment and Logistics units within the Sydney area. After my discharge I studied IT and graduated with a CertIV in Microcomputer Technology before procurring a position as the IT Systems Administrator with Customs and Forwarding (CFS) in Brisbane for 6 years, which was a challenging but satisfying position before deciding to retire back home on the Sunshine Coast where my wife had purchased Buderim Florist and I started another company "Hello Hampers Pty Ltd" which is where I am at present.
